Sample Event Program
This schedule assumes a one-hour event starting at 7:00, but the event can begin at any time. This simply serves as a reference for the show's approximate timing.
- 6:30 – Actors arrive and set up the room with table tents, connect the interactive technology, etc. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments are placed.
- 7:00 – Actors welcome the audience into the space and mingle with the audience in character. During this time we will be collecting "clues" and "evidence" (i.e. suggestions) for the improvised portion of our show.
- 7:30 – Act One begins as the "victim" is announced and the opening song is sung. The victim will make their plea "from beyond" and Detective Clueless will ask for the help of the audience (aka townsfolk) to identify the murderer. She will call up all the suspects and question them in a line-up.
- 8:00 – A short break to refresh your drinks and review the evidence and clues from the interviews.
- 8:15 – The audience is seated again for Act Two to review the "CC TV" footage of the days and hours leading up to the murder. (The actual murder was unfortunately NOT caught on camera).
- 8:45 – Another short break to refresh your drinks and review the evidence and clues from the interviews.
- 9:00 – The actors return for Act Three and wrap up the show. We hear some rumors and accusations from the suspects and the Townsfolk (audience) determines who the killer was. The killer confesses and explains why they did it. This is followed by a brief awards ceremony given to the best (and worst) deputies from the audience. The host of the event may want to take this moment to give away prizes as well (promotional items, champagne, etc.).
- 9:30 – Depending on the audience and the length of dinner, the show will end around now.
